"Advanced Course for Nutritional Management of Diabetes"
This course was conducted in Ran'na Liaquat Ali Khan Govt. College of Home Economics on 10-MAY-2012..The Management of diabetes often become more challenging when the person with diabetes has several limitations on dietary intake. With an aim of promoting and facilitating evidence-based nutritional care of diabetes in peculiar circumstances, the National Association of Diabetes Educators of Pakistan and Food & Nutrition Society of the RLAK College of Home Economics Karachi, offered this short course to health care professionals. This course was endorsed by American Overseas Dietetic Association, and Pakistan Nutrition & Dietetic Society.
"NCP-IDNT Workshop"
Workshop was held in Ran'na Liaquat Ali Khan Govt.College of Home Economics on 11-13 MAY-2012.The Nutrition Care Process (NCP) workshop was intended to guide dietitians in providing consistent quality care. In 2002, the management committee of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Quality developed the International Dietetics & Nutrition Terminology (IDNT), a standardized language to promote the demand for food and nutrition professionals and to help them to be more competitive in the marketplace. The Pakistan Food & Nutrition Society and the Dietetics Department at RLAK College of Home Economics Karachi, was collaborated with the American Overseas Dietetic Association, and support of Pakistan Nutrition & dietetic Society was proud to bring this NCP/IDNT workshop to Pakistan to support dietitians, dietetic students and nutrition professionals in implementing this care model into their daily practice.
